Soundproofing in Cyprus is especially important for all types of buildings, both new and existing. Despite the strength of the walls used in residential and commercial properties, the issue of soundproofing remains unresolved.

Our company, "Yarylo Construction," has extensive experience in installing various types of soundproofing systems, using a variety of designs and materials. We perform soundproofing for offices, apartments, and other residential (villa and apartment) and commercial properties.

Soundproofing of walls, ceilings, and floors should be considered separately. These are the primary areas in a room where soundproofing is used. Soundproofing is also used for pipes, office workstations, and other areas.

Acoustic panels deserve a special mention. These materials, in addition to soundproofing, also have decorative properties. Acoustic panels are available in sheet form, made of polyester, wood, and other materials. Acoustic panels are non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and offer varying degrees of fire resistance. These panels come in thicknesses ranging from 9 mm to 60 mm. They are available in a wide range of colors and textures. The weight per square meter can range from 1,500 g/m² to 4,000 g/m². There are various installation methods for acoustic panels, from frame mounting to mounting panels with special adhesive.

Acoustic panels can be used for soundproofing ceilings and walls. These materials are installed in educational institutions, commercial buildings, and residential spaces.

Soundproofing membranes occupy a large segment of the soundproofing market. This type of soundproofing can be 3mm to 30mm thick. These membranes can be installed in floors, walls, and ceilings, reducing impact and acoustic noise by 20-25 dB.

In floors, sound insulation is installed before the screed, on flat, dry surfaces, with 10 cm overlaps between subsequent layers of material. Sound insulation extensions onto the walls are required.

Membranes are installed in ceilings and walls, and can be combined in frame and frameless systems using acoustic mineral wool, as well as plasterboard systems.

Selecting soundproofing is a crucial decision that requires advance planning and detailed design.
