Laminate flooring installation begins with preparing the subfloor on which the material will be laid. The longevity of the laminate flooring depends on the quality of the subfloor. Laminate flooring in Cyprus is available in various thicknesses, from 3.5 mm to 12 mm. This information is necessary for subfloor preparation. The thinner the laminate, the more ideal the subfloor should be.

When carrying out renovation work, our company, "Yarylo Construction," provides laminate flooring selection and installation services in Cyprus. We select and install laminate flooring in accordance with load-bearing, moisture-resistant, and other requirements. We install laminate flooring in spaces of various configurations, regardless of the complexity of the project.

There is a classification of laminate according to the place of application:

AC 4 - can be used in residential conditions (in rooms with moderate humidity - living room, bedroom, kitchen);

AC 5 - the place of use of such laminate can be a corridor, a store, or an office;

AC 6 - public places with increased use of floor coverings.

Laminate can also be divided into three large groups based on its composition:

Wood-based laminate is a tactilely pleasant material that can be up to 12 mm thick and, depending on the grade, can be moisture-resistant. Moisture-resistant laminate can be used in damp areas, but not in areas where the material is constantly exposed to water. This type of laminate is installed on a special underlayment or adhesive.

SPC laminate is a stone-polymer material that can withstand constant contact with water. It can be laid on a special underlayment, or it can be manufactured with an underlayment, simplifying installation.

Laminate based on quartz vinyl is moisture-resistant, sound-absorbing and very flexible.

Laminate is typically produced in the form of planks with a design similar to wood texture, but there are also designs reminiscent of stone.

When installing laminate flooring, it's important to consider the underlayment used before laying it. There are budget-friendly and higher-quality materials: polyethylene foam is the simplest underlayment, while eco-friendly cork is a more durable and high-quality material.

Selecting laminate flooring based on its characteristics, as well as installing it and preparing the subfloor, should be entrusted to professionals. Consideration should also be given to the manufacturers of these materials, which impacts their environmental friendliness, especially when installing underfloor heating.
