The bathroom is the most technically complex room in an apartment or house. It's where water, electricity, and high humidity converge, and Cyprus's hot summers and humid winters add to this. Without proper waterproofing and ventilation, mold and leaks quickly develop. Yarylo Construction provides turnkey bathroom and toilet renovations in Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, and the surrounding areas, from demolition to installation of the last detail.

Stages of repair
- Project. Layout, material selection, plumbing and electrical diagram. We show the location of the drain, niches, and concealed faucets.
- Estimate and schedule. We fix the price and deadline, and order the plumbing fixtures in advance—in Cyprus, many items are imported from Europe.
- Dismantling and engineering. New pipes and wiring, system pressure testing.
- Rough work. Screed with slopes, wall alignment, waterproofing with leak testing.
- Finishing. Tiles, porcelain stoneware or microcement, grouting, sealing of joints.
- Installation. Plumbing, furniture, glass, lighting, accessories.
- Delivery. We check each node and remove the object.
Tile or microcement?
Porcelain tiles and tiles are classics: durable, easy to clean, and available in a wide range of formats. Large-format porcelain tiles offer minimal grout.
Microcement is a seamless coating that can be applied over existing tiles without removing them. Suitable for floors, walls, shower areas, and even countertops, it offers a modern and minimalist look.
We often combine microcement on the walls and porcelain tiles on the floor, or marble tiles as an accent wall.
Why bathrooms in Cyprus require a special approach
- Humidity. Without ventilation and proper waterproofing, mold will appear on the seams and ceiling.
- Hard water. We select limescale-resistant faucets and filters.
- Old pipes. Houses built in the 1980s and 1990s often have galvanized pipes—we're replacing them with modern ones.
- Leaks to the neighbors. Waterproofing is a must in apartments; we check it before laying tiles.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Typically 2–4 weeks, depending on the area, scope of engineering work, and plumbing delivery time. The exact schedule is in the contract.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Cyprus?
The cost depends on the area, the condition of the premises, the selected plumbing fixtures, and the finishes. After a free visit, we prepare a quote in several versions.
Is it possible to make a shower without a tray?
Yes, it is a walk-in shower: the floor is sloped towards a linear drain, and the shower area is completely waterproofed.
Is it possible to lay microcement on old tiles?
Yes, if the tiles are securely attached. This reduces installation time and reduces the amount of construction dust.
Do you only do bathroom renovations without renovating the entire apartment?
Yes, we renovate bathrooms, toilets, and guest toilets separately. If you're planning a larger project, see apartment renovations and house renovations.
