Laying laminate flooring

The durability of laminate flooring depends 80% on the subfloor and the correct grade. Yarylo Construction selects and installs laminate flooring in Cyprus for spaces of any configuration.

Preparing the base

Laminate flooring comes in thicknesses ranging from 3.5 to 12 mm. The thinner the laminate, the more perfect the subfloor needs to be, so we start by leveling the floor.

Laminate classes

• AC4— residential areas with moderate humidity: living room, bedroom, kitchen
• AC5 - corridors, shops, offices
• AC6 - public places with high traffic

Types of laminate by composition

• Wood-based– pleasant to the touch, up to 12 mm; moisture-resistant versions are suitable for damp areas, but not for continuous contact with water
• SPC (stone-polymer) - withstands constant contact with water, often comes with a built-in backing
• Quartz vinyl is moisture-resistant, flexible, and absorbs noise well.

Design - wood or stone.

Pad

• Polyethylene foam is a budget option
• Cork is environmentally friendly, durable and high-quality

Laminate selection, subfloor preparation, and installation should be entrusted to professionals. We especially carefully select the manufacturer when installing over underfloor heating—this affects environmental friendliness.

For wet areas, consider porcelain tile or microcement.
